1950s Vintage Ashtray Stand

Found this ceramic and brass stand for $20 at an antique shop yesterday. It was missing the ashtray but I had the big glass one that I picked up a few months ago in mind when I saw it. I was going to attack the brass with Simichrome, but I think I’m going to keep the patina. The boss likes it!

Nice. You just took me back to the early 50's with the one we had in the house with that deep orange glass tray. And yeah, you need that patina.

I found away to hide the nut and bolt holding the ashtray together and keep with the decor of the stand. Tobacco tin cap fits perfectly.
