If memory serves, they are much better, actually. A nice, mild-medium short cigar (about 5 X 40, maybe?). It has that lovely RyJ sweet/salty flavor. IIRC, though, they do need a little time to rest before giving the best they can.

Anyone have any info on these? Are they better/comparable to quin brev? Thanks for any imput.

Brandon

They are a wonderful isom at this price. A great morning smoke to start the day. I got a box in January and was well worth the $89 I paid for them then. They are nothing drop dead fancy, but the price what do ya expect. I wouldnt turn my nose up if given one which I did gift a few to some CP'ers to try.

I have a couple boxes that have been resting in my humi for about 10 months. I remember after reading a bunch of reviews on these that they seemed to be a very good smoke for the money, as long as you are willing to let them age. I was left thinking that these are quite average young but with 3 years on them, they are very tasty (especially considering how much they cost).

I haven't had one yet, as I'm letting mine age for 3 years before digging into them. I just hope they smoke as nice as they look - they are very purdy all wrapped in cedar.

All the reviews I read on them claim that these 'gars are great! Min Ron Nee explains that at least 3 years of age are needed on these. For those of you who don't know, they are machine made, hence the price.

I think I'll be seriously considering this!!

Darren

I thought they were hand rolled, machine finished, no?

Based on what I understand, these used to be machine made but then were discontinued, and are now hand rolled. I'm not sure what year they switched over, so whether the ones being sold here are machine made or hand rolled is unclear to me.

Machine bunched hand finished is what I thought....hmmm!

According to Perelman's 3rd edition, the machine made models were discontinued in 2000. These cigars are handmade (though no talk of machine bunched first).

So, anyone in for a split of this 2 box special? I'm interested enough in this to try them out.

PM me....
Darren

Like I said, I've had them while they was young. They was a tasty smoke for what they are. I wouldnt hesitate jumping on the deal if I had the cash to do so.
