2003 Shafer Hillside Select

Thanks to a generous CPer, some friends of mine from college and I enjoyed a bottle of 2003 Shafer Hillside Select the other night.

Really nice wine... I'm probably too much of a heathen to fully appreciate it, but I did very much enjoy it.

This is an amazing wine. I have been very pleased with most of what Shafer makes, all of them seem to be dense concentration of fruit. Glad you had the chance to enjoy it and found it palatable.

Very nice...I just picked up a few bottles of the 2002 Hillside Select....to give to clients. Hopefully it pays off, that stuff ain't cheap! :laugh:

This wine was brought up again in a conversation I had last night. The $499 price at wine.com was used as an example of how hard to get it was. Some people gotta learn to shop better.
