because of refinery shutdowns, gas will hit $4.00 short term until everything is up and running, according to cnn's brit hume of cnn. :0
 
It will shoot up to $4 a gallon and then drop to $3.75 just so they can say prices are dropping. :sign:

stole my thunder...like every summer and winter cycle...they never compare the prices to last year at the same time, except to say the pricing has gone up. and as you stated, well, it was $X.XX/gal. and has dropped .10, it is all a fuggin joke.
 
This is going to hurt!!! :angry:


I do landscaping and everything requires gas. I can't even get a full tank of gas in my truck if I am empty if I pay at the pump because the pumps shut off at $50. Hell it costs almost 40 bucks to fill a mower and we have 6. :(

I had the fiancee fill up at the only gas station that hadn't raised prices to over $3 this am.
 
$3.20 here... if you all think gasoline is high, wait until we have to heat our homes this winter......
 
Paid $73 to fill up this morning and I wasn't even empty! I usually don't pay attention to the prices of gas because what are you going to do about it anyway. But the pumps don't go past $50! What the hell use is that? I want to fill up not half up. I either have to swipe my card twice (don't even try this at a Chevron) or just pay with a $100 bill. Can't believe I gotta carry hundies just to get gas. One thing for sure is that I refuse to trade in my larger safer vehicles on some little a$$ death traps to save a little money. My family and kids mean too much to me for that. Besides if I didn't have them damn kids I'd be ridin my motorcycle everywhere and gas wouldn't be such an issue. :D Although it did cost almost $15 to fill up the bike the other day.
 
Hmm here in IL have no problem filling up more then 50 bucks of gas at the pump on my card. Put 70 something on the card to fill the Durango the other day.
 
I just paid $3.49 a gallon for diesel and it took $112.00 to fill up my new truck ???
I hear that next year $4.00 - 4.75 will be the norm for diesel in the summer: Ouch!
 
gas jumped today in Canada, to $1.19/ Liter regular ($0.99 Diesal for you Trucker Ray!), and i converted this:
1.19 x 3.8 = $4.54 Canadian dollars, or $3.75 american dollers/american gallon

I drive alot for a living, and charge my clients however, this really affects my profit margin, especially if they reach the $100/ barrel by this winter as predicted on CBC news :0

I see high-test for $3.20/gal here in Ithaca as of today, 87 is somewhere around $2.90.

I can't tell you how typical that is of the rest of upstate, but there it is.
 
I saw (pictures) on the CBS news where gas in Atlanta is already $4.00+ :angry:
