Exactly. IMO, "FOG" status is not something automatically granted to you when you have been here X amount of time, posted X number of times, done X number of passes. You have to earn like the true FOGs have. How do you earn it? By "getting it". And you don't "get it" until a FOG says you "get it".

I was referring to a previous post when someone referred they weren't a newbie. Someone said it took a year or something like that. Personally, I don't care.

I think someone is beyond the "newbie" status when they are established, when they refer to CP as there "home". If you "get it" you know what I mean!
