With a total of 737351 posts, wow.

It seems I've missed a few new members, so welcome.

Actually, I didn't welcome any of them either. I was just hoping nobody would check.

It's that kind of laziness that has resulted in me taking nearly 4 years to only rack up 1600 posts. I'm the anti-post whore :D

There have been 6204 new members since I joined almost 4.5 yrs ago.

That's a huge increase.

Why don't you log in once every 7-14 days and cut-n-paste "Welcome to CigarPass from Anywhere, USA" in every new member's introduction since your absence? :whistling:

A handful of members adding to their post counts & using the forum's resources to do this as of late. ( Can you imagine if every active member did this ? ) I think it's a great thing to acknowledge new members, but the majority of members understand being selective and sincere about the practice.

An acceptable use of the forum for some - but when I hit the "View New Posts" tab and see someone has cut-n-paste a page full of new posts into the Introduce Yourself forum in a 10 minute span, it's spam to me.

Couldn't agree more

I guess I could be included in those that welcome every new member, but in my defense, I do read their intro so that it's not a post for count deal to me. :)

I stopped the practice a long time ago. Too many new folks not enough cigar content

What is the advantages of a high post count anyway, other then the appearance of no social life? :p
Or, you have nobody to talk to, or who wants to talk to you. Either way, you have no social life

Welcome everyone who intends to stay here.
