Sooo, there's 9 more days until our "official" due date. Both mom and baby are doing well. I'll be a first time father and I'm anxious / freaking out about what the future shall hold for us as parents.

I look forward to smoking a nice stoagie in celebration although I haven't decided on which one yet. It'll have to be memorable being that it's our first child. The anticipation is killing me.

Good luck! Mine are 11 & 13, but I remember what you are going through like it was yesterday  Having a kid will change your whole life, but it's a heck of a lot of fun. Enjoy!

Just don't name the baby after any of the TOOL band members and you'll be fine

Here is a tip from someone who has been there twice, DONT FREAK OUT when your wife tells you its time. And pack a small bag with stuff for YOU to take with you to the hospital *edit* now not when she says shes in labor lol.

1 extra set of clothes
toothbrush and toothpaste
bottle of mineral water
small snacks
cigarillos or small cigars

No one ever knows how long the birth is going to take. My wife was in labor the first time for over 9 hours, the second time less than an hour. I was prepared the second time with a small kit like I listed above, the first time I wasn't and it was pure hell not being able to take any breaks while watching my wife experiance hell. So be like a boyscout... and be prepared.

Mine ar 15,12,and 9. Enjoy the time you have with them. They don't get to talk at first for a reason.
It really is all your fault.

Or you could end up with a birt like mine,
10 minutes! Dr didn' have enough time to suit up :)
I ruined her Gucci pumps which she billed me for ( de biatch )

C'mon man, the members of Tool have good solid names:

Danny
Justin
Adam
Maynard

:p

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah Maynard is a good solid name lol, I'd had to whoop my dads ass when I got big enough if he had of named me that.

Congratulations!

Just had my second one on Nov. 5th and he's doing good. It will definitely change how you look at life. Although the early months are tough and at times you'll wonder why you did it, it won't be long till you look back and can't imagine life any other way. Make sure and take a video camera (if you go to the delivery room) plus a still camera (preferably digital) as well. It's tough to video and snap shots while also watching for the baby and your wife, but I've done it three times (twice with my kids, plus did it once for a friend) and they are moments/ images you'll never forget. Plus, everyone wants a pic/ video as soon as possible after the baby comes.

Good luck and congratulations. Let everyone here know when the baby comes and how the baby and wife (and you) are doing.
