i wonder why they are so consistently good, i'm on my 3rd box, and never had a bad draw or poor construction. Maybe they have a better rolling crew?

That's the opposite others have noted. Many people opine that they're very inconsistent and need at least 5 years to be really good. I don't smoke a ton of Montes, but of the #2's I've had, the good ones outway the bad ones by a pretty wide margin! :thumbs:

(and I've never thought to pair a Monte with a good top-shelf bourbon...good idea!)

i can tell you that they also go good w/ Thomas Hardy Sazerac Rye Cash Strength :thumbs:

In 0'3 and '04 I would have given the nod to the Upmann 2 as the best torp, but '05 Monte 2's reversed it for me. Love 'em!

The ones I have or have had, have all been very nice. Be they genuine or otherwise they haven't disappointed. So, if I did have some, I should age them for as long as possible?
