So, I got back from a long day at school today, for some reason all my instructors seemed to be pissed at the world and I just wanted to get away. So I got home and decided to make some room in my coolidors for some new cigars I plan on getting (dont we always have plans for getting more cigars). So I opened the coolidor that I usually put boxes of cigars that I occasionally smoke. Tucked away in the bottom was a box on the outside it said Cuba Aliados #4. Now these are a cheap cigar, but they are good for a quick smoke and I always liked them. Opening the box to see how many there were, to my surprise was a collection of aged Fuente cigars.... there was a list of what they were and dates when they were purchased and stored... low and behold, they were from 2002. This box contained:
2 A Fuente Don Carlos Presidente
2 A Fuente Robustos
4 A Fuente 8-5-8 Maduro
Mixed in were an assortment of Partagas Blacks and Some Punch.......
And then I opened a Punch Roth box and it is filled with Consuegra #9 from 2001..... I burnt one of these and they aren't as strong as fresh ones, they are definitely mellow, but still have a great taste. These used to be my go to smokes, I may go back to them until I graduate and get a job.... and it is especially good since they are being discontinued.
I guess sometimes doing some spring cleaning is a good thing!!
