I was in the B&M today and noticed that the box of 64 maddie torps all had serial numbers that were all very different. Hypothetically speaking, is a new factory fresh box supposed to haved contiguous serial numbers or are they all randomly scattered? Thanks

I don't believe they are sequential. I asked about identifying when a '64 was made from the serial on the band and got this response:

"I'm pretty sure that the numbers on the 64s are not unique or sequential so I doubt that they would lend any assistance. For the 26s on the other hand, this may be more applicable."

When I bought mine from my B&M it was in a box of cigars that varied quite a bit in their numbers.

actually great question about the serial number, I have another one to add

Lets say I get this cigar as a gift so I haven't seen the box that it came from, can I somehow figure out from the code on the label the age of this stick. Or at least if the code begins with a digit 1 does that mean that its older than a code that begins with a digit 6 ?

I can vouch for the 26's. I've gone through three boxes (two #9's and a #1), and they all had sequential numbering. Don't know about the 64's though.
