A Question About 3rd Interview

I had a question for you guys that have been in a situation like this in the past. It's regarding a third interview I will be going on. I have had a phone interview and written test as the first interview back in December.

Late Jan I go in for my first face to face meet the guy who will be my boss, and do a bang up job.

Mid February I go in for my 2nd face to face and meet the CMO, and he loves my work, and we delve into small talk.

Last week they called one of my references and he gave a raving review, then I get a call days later that they want me in for another interview, 3rd face to face and 4th overall. In your opinion what should I expect at this point in the game, knowing it has been so long since the first contact. The interview is this Thursday at 12:45 and the company is Internet Brands.

Let me know what you guys think, and thanks for reading my rant. :p

Glad things are moving along smoothly Jimmy! You'll probably be meeting with some new face(s), to get a feel for you before hiring. If everyone has loved you and your work up to this point, I wouldn't be worried.
 
They'll probably make an offer. If you have not discussed compensation, this might be it. Remember factor in the benefits not just salary. Good luck!

My brother was just hired by Boeing after 4 interviews. He went through 5 with Gulfstream who said it was necessary because of inner company shuffling about their new division so he had to interview more than once because his boss would be different each time. I believe he had 4 with Honda as well. All of them made offers, but he went through the same worries. I think it is just how HR works these days. I don't know anyone in the last 5 years who hasn't been through at least 4 stages before they were hired so I wouldn't read a whole lot into it. Good luck, hope you get the position!
 
In one of my wife's previous jobs she went through 3-4 interviews. Each time was a different level of the organization. Good luck. I know in academics we have multiple interviews as well.

I would prepare like you were going into your first interview...be on your toes as you may see new faces and could be asked many of the same questions you've already answered. Have at least 4 extra copies of your resume on hand as well as reference letters should they ask...be prepared. Also make sure you have at least 4-5 questions ready to ask them about their company, do your research on them. If no money is discussed by them FIRST, DO NOT BRING IT UP!

Stay sharp, there are so many people looking for the same position and the competition is fierce these days...don't be nervous, be confident in yourself and your abilities. At the end of the interview, if no offer is made or discussed...ASK FOR THE JOB!

I went through four interviews with Canon, USA and didn't get it. But they may have sensed my reservations. It was during a time of a much better job market, of course. They asked me to get rid of my beard and I hesitated. :rolleyes:
 
Jimmy - We do a 4th interview at our company. It looks like Internet Brands follows the same HR model.
Joe is probably correct in thinking that this is the final meeting, where compensation will be discussed. Let them bring it up.

Gary's advice is best though...do as much research as you can on Internet Brands (I am sure that you already have). Have several questions prepared for them and have answers prepared for why you are the best candidate for the position (generally)and for Internet Brands (specifically).

Thanks guys, I am very excited/anxious about this one as I really want this position. You could say I'm an eager beaver. ;)

I will keep things updated once I know more tomorrow, in the mean time I will enjoy a Padron Londres Maduro and contemplate my questions/answers.

Sounds like this will probably be the cultural-fit interview. You'll probably meet what will be your co-workers, and they want to see how you'll fit in with the crew. Good luck!

Well guys I interviewed with 2 different faces today, the VP of HR and the VP of Technology.

HR lady asked about how my coworkers would describe me, what my goals are and what my salary expectations are. It went vey well with her, and she gave me her card.

The Technology guy was like a brick wall, I couldn't really read him to the end. I answered all his questions, and showed him my web work and everything else in my portfolio.

There was no offer made, so I guess I will just wait for the answer next week.

So currently I am enjoying a LFD Salomon and it's helping calm me down a bit.

How do you feel about the company? Does it seem like a good match, overall?

Yes I thought the LFD was a perfect choice, a little plugged in the first 1/3rd, but opened up nicely after the first ash.

I think the position is an excellent match for me, along with the company. Average age from what I could see is mid 30's throughout.
