A Question of Cigar Hygiene

Folks,

I just wanted to tip you guys off to a little cigar shipping hygiene issue. Over the last few months, I've received cigars in the mail and most of these cigars came in ziplocs that had been previously used. No problem there. Heck, I've got a pile of bags ready to go.

However, every now and then, the bags contained tobacco chips and flakes that have accumulated over several reuses of the bag. In two cases, the bags contained beetle droppings.

So, if you are going to reuse bags, it would be a very nice thing to first inspect the bags for dirt, flakes and, god forbid, beetle droppings. If the bags look ratty, torn or dirty then pick up a new bag and put the sticks in that.

Thanks,
Wilkey

That IS good hygiene. I wouldn't want to receive some unwanted "extras", so a clean bag = good bag.

What a picky little angel you are.....think of them as flavor modules. :p

I always make sure the bags I use are nice and clean. I just spit in the bag, swish it around a little bit and viola! A good as new, clean bag. :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

I hear urine is sterile.

I always make a bologna sandwich to take fishing, then after I come home use that bag to to ship cigars. It always seems to add the taste of processed chicken/beef/pork/intestines into each cigar.

Cigars are just filthy things anyway, hazardous waste really.
Made by hand and all. Who knows where those hands have been…

Please send the to me for proper disposal. :whistling:

yeah, yeah, yeah ..... I now only use new and fresh baggies when shipping bombs :)

washing your sack is just silly, a fresh sack stinks like plastic, and I love the cigar smell from a uncleaned sack. :)
