Fun reading. Got a bottle of Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye from LaNell last year. So, I had put myself on the waiting list for the release of Sazerac. When I hear that it is out, I called LaNell's and actually got LaNell herself. She laughed and said the supply was so limited that if she didn't know me personally, I wasn't getting any from her. I laughed and said I would make a special trip to introduce myself. Unfortunately, she couldn't resolve the dispute with her landlord; so, the store in Red Hook is closed and she is searching for a new place. Hope that she finds one soon so I can make my introduction.
