PJ the Comic
Official Illusione Whore
Alright,
So I just made my one year anniversary, whoo hoo! I have seen a couple of curmudgeons, an occasional outburst, a few pile-oners, a few generally grouchy bastards, and a whole bunch of seemingly good honest folks.
The knowledge I have gained here about things so far beyond simply cigars is staggering. As a member told me at a recent HERF "you guys have restored his faith in mankind". He is talking about CP as a whole. I don't think I was that jaded when I got here but I echo the sentiment that the camaraderie and selflessness shown here is an almost unseen side of Americana. It reminds me of how things must of been when community was not simply a word thrown around by politicians. When you knew all your neighbors. The wife would bake cookies to welcome new people into the neighborhood, and when if you were in trouble, the first stop would be the community. There was always a helping hand offered.
I know now that the "smell-o-bullshit meter" that some of the FOG's exhibit around here is quite impressive to say the least. My first month here, I saw some things transpire I thought were an overreaction and by being quiet, sticking around, and continuing to read, I see now that this community is well protected. From all appearances, by the right people to boot. Now I don't claim to know all the stuff that goes on around here behind the scenes, but I am grateful to have been allowed in the door.
I look forward to many more years of learning and friendship.
Thank you Cigar Pass!!!!
