A win in the ban battle...

Well a judge threw out the smoking ban in Louisville......it is one victory in a war that I am sure will turn vicious.
The ban said no smoking in any business establishment except Churchill Downs. The owners sued and won.

good news, Dan. We have casinos nearby that also won special exemption. There is also a consortium of hospitality business owners that are looking to use that as a hook. Sure seems like money talks, don't it?

This one looks to have been stricken because of the exemption. It probably would have stood if smoking had been banned even in Churchill Downs. Either way, a win's a win. :thumbs:

It would have stood, but the council wouldn't have voted one in that contained that language.
