Jake is one of those young BOTLs that really gives us youngsters a good name. He's a selfless member of our community, and never ceases to amaze.
I purchased half a sampler from Jake for a great price (he volunteered to split a sampler for Adrian and I), but two of the cigars came in with wrapper damage. These were two expensive cigars (at least in my eyes they are), and the damage wasn't really Jake's fault. Jake packed the box with a good amount of peanuts, the only problem was there were a few too many naked sticks in the same baggie. Well anyways, I just let Jake know what happened, not because I felt slighted or anything, but just to let him know. I believed 1 of the cigars to be 100% smokable, and the other, would have been smokable, but could have caused some problems as the split wrapper was in the center of the cigar. I was going to send pictures of the damage to Jake upon his request, but my computer hard drive crashed the next day, so I've been using my laptop (no camera software). He PMed me the other day, that he was going to send out a package to make things right....I told him thank you, but I didn't blame him for the damage, so no additional cigars were necessary..I was happy.
His response to me was, "I stand behind my sales....think of it as a graduation gift" (or something close to that).
I received two more of these cigars this afternoon, packed snug in a box, with multiple layers of protection :laugh: . They came in great!
I just wanted to tell everyone about this transaction/interaction that I've had with Jake. I really appreciate the gesture Jake...you went way above and beyond!!! THANK YOU BRO.
