The cold weather and shorter days have turned me almost exclusively into a weekend only smoker. I guess I have a couple of options:
(a) find a cigar friendly establishment and go a couple times a week
(b) smoke in the garage.

What do you colder climate guys do in the winter to still enjoy your smokes comfortably and not just suck them down because you are freezing your ass off?

PS: The "I just smoke in my study/library/pimp office with a walk in closet humidor" responses can suck it! :p

Cheers!

I told my gf and landlady to suck it, I smoke in the APT now. Got a couple of cleaning products to keep the place smelling fresh and clean.

Like you when it gets cold my only options are the truck(NOT the car), the garage, and work.

And it's trying to snow now

I forgot I could smoke in the aviary

Bundle up and get your ass outside. It's not THAT cold anyways... :D

Brandon

p.s. It is 38 here now and I am headed out to smoke!

That's what the wife and I do. We don't smoke inside. Even if it's cold outside, we think it's kind of nice to be outside. Our decks are covered, not enclosed, but we do get some shelter from any wind.

Bundle up, bud - B.B.S.

A covered deck would be nice. I am thinking I will fix the garage up a bit, maybe throw an old leather chair and a tv out there.

I go outside on the patio up till a certain temp.

I'm hoping the wife gets me one of those propane patio heaters for my 40th at the end of the year. Those things are aweseome - was at a party where it was about 20 outside and a bunch of us were able to stand around comfortably and smoke.

The first thing you have to do is raise the two boys of yours and get them off to college. Then you take that spare bedroom and put your TV, computer, herfo-lounger and your humidor in there. Install an exhaust fan get a floor standing ashtray, hang up some cigar art and you will be all set. Oh yea, don't let anyone in without an invitation except maybe the dog. Good luck it took me 25 years to accomplish that task. LOL!

Lol, but I guess it was well worth the wait :p

pretty sound advice right there Paul! Sounds like a pretty nice and worthwhile venture.

If it's below 0 or exceptionally windy I hit the garage. If it's above 0 and the wind isn't too bad I smoke on the deck (after I shovel off the picnic table :D ). Just stay away from the Cammies and other delicate wrappers in the cold. I've had some experience with wrappers splitting and cracking out in the cold.

Next summer I hope to get the extra room on the garage finished and insulated to use as my "Man Cave" for cards and smoking. I can't wait to get to work on that!

Garage and a space heater is all I need. This will be my first winter with the smoking ban in place, but they did open a new cigar store in my town with a smoking lounge in the back.

I put on my silk smoking jacket, and bunny slippers, and sit in my office....Or just head down to the waterin hole...

Just like some of You, I was wondering what will I do when there will be snow, wind, rain etc. and I dont have a garage neither the smoking room. But since yesterday I do not worry about it anymore, it was 18*C and its getting warmer. Its said that Monday and Tuesteday will be about 22*C. :D

Looks like spring is coming back :D

Ps.
18*C = 64.4F
22*C = 71.6F

I know how you guys feel. I have to put on something warm
in the evenings now when the temp drops down to 60 degrees,
really sucks!!!
