The Adrians Toro Maduro has a ring gauge of 52 and is 6 inches long. Both the filler and the binder are Costa Rican in origin. I met the owner of the company Michael Rosales out at His and Hers Treasures in Georgetown Texas at an event he was hosting. I smoked 2 torpedo Maduros while I was there and afterwards bought a box of Toros to take home with me. The torpedos were 9$ a stick and the Toros were 8$. I paid 160 for the box of toros at 20 percent off because of the event.

I am fairly new to cigar smoking but I will do my best to describe my experience this afternoon with the first Toro I smoked from the box I brought home.

The first thing I notice about the cigar compared to others I have smoked is that the veins in the wrapper are very small where they are visible. The cigar has a nice sheen to it also. I'm not sure if this is from the Natural oils in the cigar or not but compared to some of the other purchases I made the same night it has a nice "shine". The wrapper has a sweet smell and the foot smells like tobacco which is to expected I assume. I detected what I thought was one soft spot in the cigar but for the most part it seemed like a nice tight stick.

I had to use three matches to light it up. The first pull was very smooth for a full bodied cigar but I am a heavy cigarette smoker so my palette may not be as refined as some of the other gentlemen on this website.

The first third was rich full smoke. I thought I detected hints of nutty flavor in a few of the pulls but very subtle. The smoke was very earthy and cool. The taste lingered at the back of my tongue and on my lips for several second after I exhaled.

On the second third the smoke began to taste spicy. Maybe it could be considered peppery in flavor. Again the flavor lingered after exhaling along the tounge and on the lips. By this time you could see the oil coming out on the wrapper. Again hints of a nutty flavor were detected.

The final third was more of the same as the second third. I did have to correct an uneven burn twice on the second half but overall it had a decently even burn. Also I would consider myself a novice and the runs could have something to do with the way I was smoking this stick.

I never detected bitter smoke until I was nearing the end of the stick and burning my fingers. At that point the cigar was nearly too hot to hold so I am guessing that is the reason.

The ash didn't fall from the cigar until halfway through the second third and then again into the final third. Nice ash.

I only have a Carlos Torano Virtuoso to compare this smoke to and I would say that it is definitely a fuller bodied smoke than the Torano but not by much. It was a very pleasant smoke.

If I was dissapointed in anything it is the ring. I didn't find the art on it particularly refined. The same ring is used for every line in the Adrian's name. But I have been told you can't judge a cigar by the ring and in this case that holds true.

I didn't get pics of the final third. The wife was distracting me but I'll be smoking 24 more of them give or take.

Please be gentle I'm a newb :p
