Was it worth $100 per ticket? Hell yeah it was! I've been a Billy Joel fan since before I had a choice, his music always was being played by either my parents or my older brother, and hearing it brings back such great memories as far back as I can recall. He's certainly one of my top 10 favorite musicians, and I own most of his released collection. So last night we got to see him play at the Xcel Center in St. Paul, it was the last show of this leg of the tour, as well as Billy's birthday. He still has it, even though he's 58 years old, and played a fantastic energetic show. You might think being the end of this part of the tour that they would all be tired and ready for a break, but it was the opposite, and they came out ready to blow the doors off the arena, since as he put it, "We've got nothing to do for a couple months."

Here's the setlist: (note; it does not include the audience singing him "Happy B-day" before the show started. The lights went down, the band came out, Billy was ready to start playing, then the lights came back up and we all started singing. He had tears in his eyes.)

2. My Life

3. Everybody Loves You Now

4. Lay Lady Lay

5. The Entertainer

6. Ballad of Billy the Kid

7. Allentown

He puts on a great show. Got to see him and EJ for free a few years back and we were only a stones throw away from the stage

I saw Billy Joel a few years ago when I lived in Indiana. It was fantastic!

I didn't even know he was going to be in MN or I would have been there.

Thanks for the review.

Awesome, I wanted to go too but could not afford it. I heard many callers on the KQ morning show and everyone said it was awesome!

24. Only the Good Die Young

25. Like a Rolling Stone

That would have been the high light of the show for me.

James Taylor tickets were $85 a pop when I was living in Birmingham... I still regret not going. :(

Yeah, he played a little of a couple Bowie songs, more just having some fun with him, giving him a hard time. It was really great that he played alot from older albums, things you wouldn't even think would make good concert songs because of the complexity of the recording process. Such as Zanzibar, Ballad of Billy the Kid and Root Beer Rag. Those three almost made the show for me alone!
