On this day in 1825 Alexander Dumas, the author of The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo, and The Man in the Iron Mask, fought his first duel at the age of 23. He lost. Not only did he fail to defeat his opponent, his pants fell down as they faced one another during the showdown. How embarrassing is that ?

Doc.

One might even say he showed his ass! :) LOL. Ok, so it wasn't funny..... Least it was to me though!

Edit: to make it right!

Great...now Doc introduces yet another little tidbit of information that will require further investigation.

...and I already thought I had my day planned out for me! ;)

Thanks, Doc. I really do like it when you do stuff like that.. oh...and the "cigar girl" thang too.... :p

Thankee Mucho... Kelly

At least he didn't get killed so that is a plus wouldn't you say ???

Was it swords or pistols? If it was pistols I'll bet his pants were full when they fell down.

Well if they weren't full before they fell, they certainly filled up while they were around his ankles!
