Truth be told, I smoke ‘em; I don’t study them, but I appreciate those of you that do. Yesterday my friendly B$M guy showed me a box of Anejo Reserva Xtra Viejo. It’s wrapped in cedar , torpedo shaped, and measures , 6X55 in it’s packaging. I paid 10.25 ea. For them. I looked around the site and have not found them mentioned. Any comments are welcomed. Thanks ,

Arturo Fuente Anejo No. 55. Great price as the MSRP is $9.00. Hard to find for that...not impossible, but not easy. Fantastic smoke. Along with the No. 46, the best of the bunch, IMHO. If I were you, I would buy all that he would allow at that price.

Bought a box of the 55's for $7.99 a stick - under $205 after sales tax.
Not sealed, but full - the dealer put a sku sticker on each individual stick. Didn't even charge me the $5 to keep the box!
It was a good day.

Ditto that. I can sometimes get them for msrp, but only 2 at a time with a quilifying purchase.

Every time I find them they are between $12-$15 and I am happy to pay that. They are a great cigar, one of my favorites. I just can't see myself squabbling over a few bucks when it comes to such a great cigar. There are so many other cigars out there in that price range that don't even compare to the 55, or other Anejos for that matter. Maybe I do get a little gouged but I know that I can go to my humidor at any time and pull out one of these great cigars. And each and every time I totally feel like I get my moneys worth. The Anejos have the most amazing flavor and complexity I have ever tasted.
 
I got lucky tonite and I picked up a full unopened and sealed box of fresh Anejo #55's for $255.00 + shipping. The cigar store gave me a choice of either the Anejo #50's for $205.00 or the #55's for $255.00 and I picked the #55's because of their thicker caliber and longer length for greater flavor and taste. They wouldn't sell me the 2nd box of the Anejo #50's because they wanted to keep the 2nd box for another customer that they know who likes these particular cigars.

I don't know whether or not this is true, but I hear that the larger caliber that a cigar is the more flavor and taste that it has. Is this true? Should have I picked the Anejo #50's instead of the Anejo #55's? Or is there no difference in the flavor and taste between the Anejo #50 and #55's?
 
I was fortunate to pick up a box of #55's online for $220 with free shipping (just above/around the price these sticks should be). I was also sent a nice ashtray and a somewhat cheap hat from the store, however, they were included with my Anejo box for free which wasn't a bad score.

That's cheap! I 0ordered a box of the #55's for $255.00 + shipping.
Did I pay too much for them?

I've never seen those kinds of prices for Anejos online ever. Believe me $255 for a box of 55s is NOT too much. Consider yourself lucky.

I just feel that I paid $35 more than the other person in here who mentioned that they bought the same box of Anejo #55's for $220. That's $35 less than what I had to pay for mine. And I also had to pay another $17.95 more for 2 day shipping on top of that.

Yeah, I did. I found them by accident actually. What happened was that I called up one of the cigar shops that I usually purchase my Padrons from to order some Padron 1926's and I asked them about the Arturo Fuents Anejos. They said that they had 2 sealed boxes of the Anejos that they just got in the same day. One box was the 50's and the other one was the 55's. I ended up purchasing the box of Anejo 55's together with a box of Padron 1926 #6 Maduros and a box of the NEW Padron 1926 #35 Maduros. The good thing about it was that I got everything at around MSRP. So yeah, I am really happy. It's been over 10 months now since I purchased a box of Padron 1926's. It was time to restock on some premium cigars.
