I've never smoked an Opus Maduro (sigh), but they were made with wrapper grown at Chateau de la Fuente, whereas the Anejos have a CT Broadleaf wrapper that spends some time in old cognac barrels. At least that's my understanding.
So yes, they are different in that way. Not sure how much the blends differ.
