There's this song that I am trying to remember, but I forgot the title and artist. It came out about 4 or so years ago, and was popular for a little while.

So, are there any country music fans out there? If so, I'll post a description of the song...

Go ahead and post the details. I listen to all kinds of stuff. I'm sure there is someone here that can help you.

Post away bro! But, I will never admit to being a country music fan! :whistling:

You wouldn't believe the looks I get listening to country and bluegrass in my wife's Mercedes.

My wife is a fan, so I will probably know it. The thing about country radio is they play about 15 different songs over, and over, and over, and over.....

"What kind of music do you guys play here?"

"Both kinds, country and western!"

snop....hopefully pretty much everyone knows where that one came from.

I do remember it, but can't remember where it's from.

What do you get when you play a Country song backwards?

You get yer dawg back, yer wife back, yer truck back, yer job back, etc.

I was sittin' on a bar stool
In a barbeque joint in Tennessee
When this ole boy walked in
And he sat right down next to me
I could tell he'd been through some hard times
There were tear stains on his old shirt and he said-
"Ya wanna know what ya get when you play a country song backwards?"

Chorus 1:
Ya get your house back-
Ya get your dog back
Ya get your best friend Jack back
Ya get your truck back-
Ya get your hair back
Ya get your first and second wives back
Your front porch swing, your pretty little thing
Your bling bling bling
And a diamond ring
You get your farm and the barn
And the b oat and the Harley
First night in jail with Charlie

It sounds a little crazy,
A little scattered and absurd
But that's what you get when you play a country song backwards

Well, I never heard it said quite like that
It hit me in the face
'Cause that's where I'm at
I almost fell flat on the floor-
He said
"Wait a minute, that's not all there's even more"

Chorus 2:
Ya get your mind back,
Your nerves back
Your first heart attack back
You get your pride back,
Get your life back
You get your first real love back
You get your big screen TV
A DVD and a washing machine
You get the pond and the lawn
The bail and the mower
You get to back where you don't know her

It sounds a little crazy,
A little scattered and absurd
But that's what you get when you play a country song backwards

We sat there and shot the bull
About how it would be
If we could turn it all around
And change this C-R-A-P

Ya get your house back-
Ya get your dog back
Ya get your best friend Jack back
Ya get your truck back-
Ya get your hair back
Ya get your first and second wives back
Your front porch swing, your pretty little thing
Your bling bling bling
And a diamond ring
You get your farm and the barn
And the b oat and the Harley
First night in jail with Charlie

Ya get your mind back,
Your nerves back
Your first heart attack back
You get your pride back,
Get your life back
You get your first real love back
You get your big screen TV
A DVD and a washing machine
You get the pond and the lawn
The bail and the mower
You get to back where you don't know her

It sounds a little crazy,
A little scattered and absurd
But that's what you get when you play a country song backwards

If Waylon Jennings and The Mavericks count..then yes...I like country.

On occasion I like to listen to cheatn', fightin' and drinkin' songs.

Doc.

While in Dallas recently I enjoyed a cover of "(Ghost) Riders in the sky", performed by a mariachi band. I also really like listening to "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" while watching two hot girls in skimpy clothing get on top of a bar and dual back and forth. Does that make me a country music fan?

Ok, let's make this interesting for you country fans. Whoever can tell me the name of the song I'm thinking of wins a CP hat. It's going to be difficult, since I don't know the lyrics, and I can only provide a description of what the songs about.

It came about about 4 or 5 years ago. It's a male singer, and in the song he talks about when he was a kid his parents would send him to Georgia to work at his grandmothers nightclub. It was near the county line (I think). It was a very upbeat song. That's all I remember.

I like some old school country: Johnny Cash, Waylen Jennings, Willie Nelson, Marshall Tucker, CDB, Patsy Cline. I don't much care for most contemporary country. Most of it seems like crappy pop music put to a two step beat IMHO.
