I think you're onto something here... I know that I personally wouldn't give my "less knowedgable" rolleyes friends/casual cigar smokers a Padron 40th with a couple years age on it, but I would definitely give them a Padilla 1948, or an Illusione CG4. The idea is to get them to enjoy cigars, and maybe become involved in it...not poison them with White Owls and Black and Milds.

well these are friends that I see maybe a couple times a month if that. Being as young as I am (22) and having a kids and not living at home must scare them. But i guess you are right. Why scare them away from cigar smoking. BUt thats what they like. and swisser sweets (w/e)

But what the heck, Welcome to CP.

IF you insist on keeping flavored cigars for your less knowledgeable friends and the purpose of smoking them is not solely to keep mosquitos (and uninvited guests) from the backyard bbq, I would suggest something along the lines of a Drew Estates "Java".

1. It won't scare your friends away from ever wanting another cigar again.
2. Your friends might come back to visit you some day.
3. It shows a little more class.
4. Your friends will look better while smoking it and it might impress the ladies.

Of course they are in no way cheaper than a WO but far and away a much better flavored smoke
