Any good HERF's or smoke shops?
Any good spots to smoke in Hatteras, NC?

As far as I can remember, there are no smoke shops on the Islands. You might try a BrewThru (drive thru beer store, cool idea) or some of the fishing tackle shops. As far as places to smoke, take a chair out to the beach and fire up.

Hatteras is all I know. Renting a big house with a view of the light house.

That's probably Buxton. Check out Dillon's Corner or the Red Drum Tackle Shop. They are right on the bend of the road (Rt. 12). Dillon's is on the right and the Red Drum is on the left. I do believe they carry cigars.
You can also check out the shops in Hatteras Village as well.
But ddepaola is right, take your own just to be sure and enjoy them on the beach.
And if you like bar-b-que (I do), make sure you check out Bubba's when you get there. Best bar-b-que on the island. And you may be able to smoke on the deck.

I like the Outer Banks.
We had an awesome house, good seafood and the trip went very well. I will admit, by the end of the week, I was really tired of the constant wind.
Frank & Frans Tackle shop in Avon has a small walkin humidor. They didn't have anything I wanted and they were a bit pricey, but so was everything else on Hatteras, Island. The lady behind the counter asked if she could help me find anything and we spoke about cigars for a moment. she didn't know anything about cigars but took notes when I said what cigars I liked so it seems they are open to suggestion.
More proof that the good Lord watches out for people that aren't very smart.
We head to the Outer Banks in the middle of Hurricane season and my BOTL's at the Loose Association, were having a little fun at my expense. We score perfect weather and due to the season, no crowds and many shops were running sales.
Here at home we had catatrophic straight line winds and most of the area was without power for several days. The power was out here at our house the entire week. We got back home Sunday and the power had been restored on Saturday.
I stopped in WV to play some poker Saturday evening and I will put a little trip report up in the poker forum.

If it ain't Scottish...it's crap!
A few yrs ago we rented a house on the Outer Banks in Salvo, and it was the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken. As the other guys said, I don't remember any shops there, I brought about 20 smokes and enjoyed on the beach and the deck, bring your own. I did see a shop near Kill Devil and the Wright Brothers bridge coming in, but didn't stop. Ddepola knows his way down there, PM him, maybe he can suggest some places.
