I visited the Tatuaje site and sent a referral for my local B&M. I never received a message back, and the store keeper has yet to be contacted. Have any of you had success with your B&M becoming a provider of the Tat line? Suggestions anyone, anyone?

Pete's mantra at RTDA last year was "still no new accounts" -- I think the Havana IV and Series P lines may have changed this, but I'm not sure.

The independant rep who is now repping Tatuaje, Dean opened a few new tatuaje accounts in Colorado over the past few months. I would ask your BM to find the rep, and talk to him/her. If it is Dean Laffey (sp?) he has been opening accounts.

My experience in this is that they did open up a few new Brown label accounts after they put out the Havana IV and Serie P (the store I work at being one). I've heard that there are absolutely no more new Brown accounts being opened, but that other accounts are still available.

The 2 stores I know of that recently got brown labels got them maybe 3 months ago. Pete hired a rep to take care of the accounts, and the rep chose to open them. I only go to one of those stores regularly, and they only stock 2 sizes of brown labels, so they might have a limited account.

This is what I've heard locally as well, even when speaking with the reps at the King's home base.

Getting a brown label account will be very hard. Red Label will be a bit easier, but still a chore. Just not enough cigars to go around.

We finally got a B&M in Minnesota to stock the Tats, Tobacco Road in Maple Grove. Happened within the last few months.

i must have gotten lucky. i called pete directly and had a shipment the next week. one of the easiest accounts ive ver opened. this was near the first of this year.
