I'm an avid bettor. I only bet on professional football, I never bet before week 4, I usually spend a good 4-6 hours "researching" my bets, I only bet one game per week, and I NEVER bet from the heart (no Panthers or Eagles games). I was just wondering if there were more of you out there that do the same as me, or has the same passion for betting as I do. Some might say I have a problem, but I disagree with that because someone that has a gambling problem has no rules to go by. If they lose their early game, they are on the phone to the book setting up the second, and then the late game, and God forbid if they're on a losing streak, Monday night is the last night to try and make it all back. They also bet on everything they can put money on.I only bet on the NFL. I'm also pretty damn good at it. I've been well in the positive each year and I put a minimum of $200 on a game. I'm up $750 this year thanks to the Colts, Giants, and Patriots respectively over the past 3 weeks. Here are the three plays I'm looking at and a tidbit about each one.

Kansas City -2 1/2 vs Oakland
Chiefs have won 8 straight over Oakland
Raiders have lost 16 straight AFC West games

Pittsburgh -3 1/2 vs Denver
Denver is coming off the worst home loss in their history
Steelers have the 2nd best rushing game while Denver has the leagues worst run D

Arizona vs Washington -8 1/2
Looks like Tim Rattay wil start...threw 3 picks against one of the most vulnerable secondaries in the NFL last week
Washington has the 3rd ranked D in the NFL
Washington has won 5 straight against Arizona

So, if you have the betting itch, who do you like this weekend? ...and those of you in the FFL, don't laugh, I just had a crappy draft!

The first step is admitting you have a problem Brian.

Sadly, I like the Bucs getting 2.5 points against my Lions, though I'd never bet against my team. I like the Titans as 1.5 point favs against an injury riddled Houston too.

 ...good point Justin. I like that one too, but in a way it scares me because I know how good the Lions offense can be....it's just a matter if they show up or not.

I like Stl/Sea over 40

Over is 11-3 in STL last 14 games in October
Over is 21-6 in SEA last 27 games in October
Over is 7-2 in SEA last 9 games in Week 7.

neither one could stop independence high school.

I possibly like cincy/jets over 47 also.

Last two matchups hit the over by more than a td and some other games of note. Dont like this one as much as sea/stl but I think it will hit.

all indications say this will be a high scoring game. Cincy gives up 31 a game. The jets have given high numbers to other high scoring offenses 38 to NE, 35 to NYG and even 28 to Miami. I see one team scoring in the 30's and the other in the 20's

09/09/1990 NYJ 20 CIN 25 -9/42
10/09/1988 NYJ 19 CIN 36 -6/43.5
11/29/1987 CIN 20 NYJ 27 -4/42
12/21/1986 NYJ 21 CIN 52 -7/46

The washington big number scares me. Washington just cant score alot points which makes that 8 1/2 hard to hit.

p.s. I am not responsible for any wagers lost on any of my analysis. :whistling: but if you win.......addy is in profile

So...does that mean you'd bet for them? :whistling:

sportsbook.com is offering a 10% reload bonus, plus 50% if you win on an NCAA or NFL game up to $100 . Not bad if your going to bet this weekend. I'm thinking i'll lay down some money on steelers. Spread on sportsbook is -3.5

Being a huge Steeler fan, this week just looks too easy. If I were making the line, I would have it a 6.5 or 7. Remember, bet with your head, not over it. :sign:

I am with Justin too, when it comes to the Titans. Even though I am a Titans fan I really do like their chances with such a small spread. The Titans losses have been close games against some good teams, good luck on whatever action you choose to take.

I like them also, but the question on wether or not Young will play, keeps me from playing that game. He's a gametime decision and I stay away from games that main players are last minute decisions. Plus, I got to watch firsthand what Kerry Collins can do since he started here in Charlotte.....no way my money goes on a team he quartebacks.

Baltimore -3.

I look for Willis to have a gigantic game againt his former Buffalo team. Along with Buffalo starting Edwards instead of Losman. Should lead to a win by a touch down for the Ravens. I know McNair is out too, but Boller is 2-0 so far.

Baltimore 23
Buffalo 16

I'm playing Baltimore -3 (Yes, I'm a homer!), Pitt -2.5 and Tampa +2.5 (Garcia will figure out how to win this game).

I'll take a fiver on that, as a Steeler fan I have to believe Buffalo will win!

Pay no attention to the date and time stamp on this post ;)
