Take a gander at this...you decide the veracity...don't know if this has already been mentioned yet:

Here piggy, piggy, piggy...

Ah, the free-market:

Snopes says this (about others):

Snopes 2

From PMF:

From SI:

So there you have as much as I care to dig up on it. First pic looks a little suspect IMHO, but I don't know about the rest of 'em. That PMF linky has some good discussion about it.

I read about this hog earlier today, if it is real that is a big pig!

Edit: For some reason the last Silence of the Lambs pig feeding session comes to mind.

The weight seems right as a prize pig at the state fair can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. But the size doesn't add up. Upon reading more Jay and my self declare BS. It says he chased it and shot 8 rounds at it but a 50cal pistol only chambers 6. And the whole idea of an 11 year old shooting a 50cal pistol just dosent work especially while chasing a bore.

Holy sh**, that is almost as big as the one they have in the BassPro Shops in Dallas. I have shot a lot of hogs, the biggest one was 332Lbs, that one makes mine look like a dropping that came out of that massive hog!

Now the I have read all about this, I think I agree on the BS. It is possible for an 11 year old to shoot a .50 cal the first gun I ever owned besides a shotgun was a 7mag. But if you read more into things just dont add up, also there was another story about Hogzilla I, and the man who shot it buried it before anyone saw it. I dont know about all of this, they could have been feeding that hog for years and years. The kids father might have just paid the right amount of $ for his son to shoot that. :whistling:

I call Shenannigans! I've been boar hunting (no not Hoggin', that's something entirely different) and have seen 400#+ and that boar is just not right. IF... IF it is proven real then that must be a breed that is so rare or it is a mutant. At that size wouldn't someone have seen it long ago? I think the issue w/ the 50 cal is more than suspect as well. The whole thing smells like BRISKET!
What would you smoke after shooting that MONSTER?

LGC Series R Maduro? A Partagas Lusitania (vintage of course)?

Yeah that's how we roll here in the great state of Alabama LMAO...All kidding aside...that is about an hour's drive for me...wonder if i could swindle some wild boar meat from him...hell we could live off that for a LONG time...sheesh...
