Any Ragtime Fans?

I've always appreciiated Ragtime Music, but have never really explored.

I decided to look it up on youtube this a.m., and am really enjoying it.

I find it very involving and has that toe tapping quality I love in music.

So much so, that I would really like to buy some CD's and get a little collection going.

Can anybody post an artist or band that is considered to be exceptional, by fans, or peers.

Jelly Roll morton is really more jazz, but he transitioned from Ragtime so it has a Ragtime feel at times. Definitely good stuff. The Chicago sessions is a good disc.

I don't know much about ragtime, but traditional Dixieland jazz covers a lot of the same standards . . . Preservation Hall Jazz Band is stellar in that genre.
