As some of you may know, Middle Georgia was hit with some very serious weather this past Mother's Day weekend.
I live on the outskirts of Macon. Macon was ground zero.
My area had a lot of broken limbs, some ripped off siding, damaged cars...from the broken limbs, power outages, etc. This is the second time in about a month I've had some serious damage, and/or clean up from the high winds.
I had to drive into Macon today, and the sights were unbelieveable. Broken and uprooted trees all over the place. I'm talking Large Oaks twisted and snapped in half like toothpicks. Buildings caved in, signs ripped to shreds, power poles and lines down. No electricity, no street lights, Large sections of main roads shut down. I know of at least one fatality. From what I saw, it's a miracle more didnt lose there lives.
Curfews imposed. What a mess!
Well, I'll count my blessings.
Now, where is that website for storm shelter's.
