I am kind of getting back into an old hobby I had when I was younger. I had a Dodge Challenger when I was 21 and loved it but ended up selling it to get into motorcycles. What a mistake! That car would be worth alot now. I always regreted selling it. Finally I have paid myself back and bought another one. This one is pretty cherry. Nice enough that I wont have to do any nasty elbow grease work on it. But I do have plans on converting it to a 4 speed with a 550 HP 440 w/ a Dana 60 rear end. I have all the parts for the 4 speed conversion already. Next step is the rear end.

So, do any of you guys have projects like this going on? Here are some pics of mine. I'd love to see some pics from you all.

My bother was the gear head until a few years ago.
I was into bikes.
He is working on a 70 convertible. 340/4...white with black top/inter.
and he has a 68 Charger - Cali car with new crate 383 ----> Daily Driver :D

I just sold my 71 Javelin 360/3 - it ran very nice!!!

Now I'm working on a '55 Chevy - 355w/nos - Moser 9 - Termec .... :D

Pic's to follow.

I've got a '71 Pontiac LeMans Sport, 455 over 40, 4 inch engine set back, Turbo 400, 3K stall converter, 4.10 posi 12 bolt with Henry's Axels. Up on blocks now in the garage awaiting more cash :).

Man swap Single Malt for services, LOL

Had and smashed and rebuilt and blew out and sold a 67' Camaro RS, 327 with 290HP I really miss that car. But know I have (2) 1986 BMW 745i Turbos (yes they did too make a turbo) one currently at about 285hp and the other one going through a crank to injector rebuild and is target to come out in the 500-600hp range. She will be such an unreal sleeper that the Ferrari and Porsches will never admit to have there gotten there doors blown in by a "Luxury Sedan"....muahhhaaaahhaaaaaaahahahahah

Probably not considered a musclecar, but I recently acquired a 50 Ford F-1 pickup that I will be giving the full treatment i.e subframe, late model running gear.I am currently working on a 66 vw bug that I will be selling when finished and putting the proceeds into my truck.

My buddy and I completed our restoration project last summer. A 1970 Chevelle Malibu. Beautiful car, he bought it for $400 from a farmer that had it sitting in the middle of a corn field with weeds growing through it and rusted to hell. It was a long 4 years restoring it, but I got to learn alot about older cars in the process. That is what sparked my interest in cars, now I get to build race cars all day...fun job

The closest thing to a muscle car that I've sat in was a blown cobra. Boy does that kick you in the ass.

:D Nice ride! I would bet my 2002 Windstar could take it though. You may have me off the line but the half milke is mine!

Right now I am working on a 68 Firebird. We’ve replaced both Quarter panels, the tail lamp panel, trunk deck, both full floor pans, drivers side rocker panel and hood. We’ve painted it (black) and replaced all of the original emblems (Damn they are expensive) and bumpers. We built up a Pontiac 400 with a 455 crank, 6.8 Chevy Big Block rods with custom Pistons, bored 60 over. Custom camshaft and Edelbrock 72cc Aluminum heads topped off with a Demon 850 chokeless carb. The compression is 10.3:1. I have a TCI Super Streetfighter TH350 Trans with a 10” 3000 - 3400RPM Converter.
I have now run out of money for the time being, so the car is sitting in my garage until I can get a fuel tank (1/2” lines) Drive Shaft and Rear and a wiring harness. I hope to have it completed in about 6 months…but we will see… :p
I have also built / owned;
69 Chevelle, nothing to fancy a mild Chevy 350, TH350, 3.73 gears disc brakes all around.
75 Trans Am, a stout Pontiac 400, TH350, 3.73 gears
80 Trans Am, a very strong Pontiac 350, TH350, 4.10 gears, runs 14’s in the ¼ mile
68 Chevelle SS 396 Muncie M21, 3.73 gears…
Just to name a few. :D

:whistling: Looks very clean! Very nice job! I can imagine that cruizing down a country road on a cool day! :whistling: :whistling:

Sounds like some good projects are going of here. While cigars are a mainstay hobby for me, it is pretty much a me only hobby when it comes to family. The musclecar hobby, however, can involve the whole family. We all can go for rides and enjoy the car shows and meet other families. But of course I still fit my cigars in as well.

There is some rivalry amongst my family though. Chevy VS. Mopar! I love Mopars. My woman love Chevies, especially old camaros. She just tried to one up me and bought her own musclecar, a 67 Camaro. Even I must admit that it is badass. Here are some pics:

Nice car, congrats to your wife. I'm sure all this car buying will cut into the cigar hobby ;)

LOL - you're screwed!

(Excellent rides!)

Here's a couple of pictures of my Mustang GT (2003, Premium Edition, Fully Loaded).

Getting the windows tinted this weekend. Tint all around. Getting new exhaust, maybe Magnaflow, by the end of summer. Also on the list, a new intake. Finally getting around to fixing it up. Was thinking about getting the new Mustang, but I'll wait for the new Mach 1 to come out. Hopefully it will be as nice as the '03 Mach 1.

Pictured on a mountain road over looking the San Gabriel Valley. If it's a clear day, you can see downtown LA. :D
