Anyone heading out shopping Friday morning?

I own that tv, and I like it very much for 999 you cant go wrong!

We're looking at that 50" Plasma as well, for the price you can't really go wrong. However while looking we found THIS one, which isn't in the flyer (kind of a secret only advertised online deal), which is a 42" and looks to be better quality than that 50".

Since this isn't going to be our "main" tv, I think it might work.

Holiday Greetings! No, I do not plan on doing any shopping on Friday. I will probably do some shopping on Sunday afternoon. Actually, I shop for good deals throughout the entire year. Happy shopping to one and all! Regards, knightlaird

/sigh, so it looks like I may becoming a hipocrit.

I'm seeing a 50" plasma that is 1300 off until noon tomorrow. I may be up at 0400 to go grab it.

Forget it people! I drove by the Best Buy at 6:30 tonight on the way home, and there were at least 100 people lined up outside already. Freakin Freaks! I wonder if all the Best Buys across the country are going to be like this.

My wife and daughter left the house at 4:00 to wait in line at JC Penney's!! They have been doing this for the past 5-6 years, and it become a family tradition for them.

The greatest line from my wife, "You just go back to sleep, and we'll call you around 10:00 or so to meet us for breakfast.".

Lights on, showers being taken, hair dryers blowing, dogs running all over the house wondering what the f*ck is going on, yep, time to roll over and go back to sleep!

Now I see why today is called "Black Friday"! Makes me almost feel sorry for the poor folks who have to wait on the crazies like my wife and daughter!

Time for another pot of coffee, and a Leon Jimenes torpedo, great morning smoke!

Woohoo!

My wife left last night at 11pm, got to Best Buy and there was about 100 people in line.

She stayed until 0500 when they opened up. They had already sold the "on hand" 50" plasmas to some of the first 100, but they let her order one for the same price since she waited in line all night and it gets here in 4 days.

I'm psyched.

Oh, other than that she said it was outta control. People breaking into other peoples cars, fights, police everywhere and so on.

just got back with a nice new wireless surround sound system, 42' plasma, and a handful of smaller goodies for myself and then some odds and ends for my family. i ended up elbowing a guy in the throat who tried to push me out of line :) pretty much a normal black friday.

Well, my wife had a scheduled surgery she was doing this morning anyways, so she left early and stopped by Best Buy and was able to get a new 19" flat panel monitor, and a whole bunch of other crap. Then she calls me while in line and says an employee she knows (one whose baby she delivered) saw her in line and let her know they ended up having an extra one of those 50" plasmas, so guess what I'm doing this afternoon!!!

BTW, is a playstation II worth $129? I don't really do much gaming, but my wife also wanted to know if I wanted one of those.

The only buying I'm doin' today is placing a few bids on www.cigarbid.com and that's about it. I might stop the West Point PX in the morning (0530) and get a $25 gift certificate for free (1st 100 customers) and pick up a few stocking stuffers and then I'll do the rest of my shopping the week of the 18th of December when you'll see some incredable deals....... :D  :p

I woke up at 4AM and drove to Best Buy with the wife. At 4:25 there were over 250 people in line, I kept driving and was back to bed by 4:45. Lesson learned.

I think I'll write an article or do a study on how Best Buy and the other Big Box retailers are contributing to the decline of family values and Thanksgiving tradition by offering up such outstanding deals and baiting people into blowing off the holiday so they can go stand in line. It occurred to me yesterday, when I drove by in the early evening and there were at least 100 or more people waiting in line instead of spending the afternoon and evening with their families.

Just like the idiots who waited in line for days for a new Krispy Kreme to open. Was working this morning and at a Walmart people were parked in handicapped spots to get the super deals. They were pretty happy that they saved $50 on something, but mad that they had a $180 parking ticket on their car.

Freebern? oh Freebern ..... has anybody heard from him yet?

This has to be one of the funniest threads this morning. Thanks for the entertainment guys

Call me oblivious, but I never knew such things went on. I didn't know there were such great deals to be had. WOWZA. I can understand the Xbox and PS3 releases but I had no idea the same madness went on the day after thanksgiving. I was under the impression it was just the thing to do with the family after Thanksgiving. Sheesh you learn something new all the time. My wife thought I was kidding when I told her I had no idea about these crazy deals.
Oh well I spent the morning asleep.

I woke up at 10 am. After a small bowl of cereal, I lit up a Gurkha Centurian XX for the first time and it rocked. I don't care what the product is. 20% off wasn't worth it!
