I ordered one before and it was 8% off when I did the salt test. Was that a fluke? I would like to hear from others that use this particlar hygrometer. It seems like the perfect size for my travel humi. I sent the last one back, but have been unable to find a better shape/size for what I need.

Comments?

First, a correction - its hygrometer not hydrometer. :)

Second, if you aren't sure of your salt test, pay a visit to your local B&M. Mine uses a calibrated hygro in his walk in. He had no problem with me setting them side by side for a few days for a stare and compare. It turns out that the one I brought was 1 degree off. THEN I salt tested it to verify the TEST.

Tony,
I have the Perfecto and it's always been very accurate. Salt test showed 3% variance, humibeads show within 1%.

Yep, the HumiGuage Perfecto is a great digital hygro.

I have found the Western Caliber III to work equally as well.

I have 2 Western Digital III hygrometers and they work great. I did the salt test with the Perfecto side by side with one of the WD III. The Western Digital was right on - the Perfecto was 8% off.

Maybe I just got 1 of the very few bad ones. I am willing to try again. I do like the size and shape. It would be perfect for my travel humi. I just wanted to make sure that there was not a wide spread problem with ths particular model.

I have also had better results with the Western Digital III than with the Perfecto but I could very well be in the minority.
