I have received my garlic seed the other day that I had purchased online from "thegarlicstore.com".

With a break from the rain, I decided to get these seed in the ground ASAP. I churned my soil up really well
and added a bag of Miracle grow "Garden/Vegetable mix" to the top and tilled into the bed on the first few inches.
My raised beds are 20" deep of great soil so no problems with drainage.

The brand I bought was called "Transylvanian". The heads were a descent size with few inner cloves slightly smaller.
It is a soft neck variety, with medium - hot spice to it. This strain is resilient to cold climates which is good for me since
I live in upstate NY. I am really looking forward to the harvest next year.

I am. 4 Different varieties, Xian, Keeper, Shantang Purple, and Red Janice. In my back yard. Dont fuck it up!

Hi mates.
Im growing Elephant Garlic and some Purple striped strain that is supposedly a french breed.
I planted em two weeks prior to the shortest day and will harvest near the longest summers day here. Unless the seed pods popup before then ,if so i will clip the seed heads and harvest a week or so after that. This years Purple strain will be dried and saved for replanting next season as I only had one Bulb.
