Anyone tried or seen the Xikar 744?

I've been eyeballing this as a gift for my good friends, but I haven't been able to find anything about it. People seem to like the xikar cutters, which are solingen steel right? Has anyone seen or tried this particular model though?

That is a very nice knife/cutter if you get it from Xikar. We had some at the shop and they sold pretty good. We found a cheap imitation and ordered them and they were just that, a cheap imitation, so we sent them back at once.

We never really heard one way or the other from anyone who bougth them whether they actually performed the task of cutting a cigar very well or not but like I said we sold about 30 of them in the course of a year.

So I say go for it. If nothing else its a nice pocket knife and a fine gift in my book.

I've got one and I rarely use it to cut cigars, I'd rather use my Palio. I like the knife though and carry it all the time.

I bought an imitation for my buddy (Didn’t know there was an Xikar version) it was garbage. Hope this works better for ya.
