About 3 weeks ago, while flipping through the channels at the hotel, I caught an episode of Austin City Limits with Arcade Fire performing. At that time I had never heard of them, but i was completely impressed by their performance and music. Kind of reminded me of early 80s new-wave mixed with early 90's college indy rock band (think Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds or Marillion). I picked up their two albums (Funeral and Neon Bible) last weekend and its been on my playlist nonstop since then. Anyone else listen to them?

I love them too.

My wife is Canadian so I was lucky to get into them before their first record (they are from Montreal).

A very solid Band. You might also like "The New Pornagraphers"

They're great - brilliant, inventive, as well as talented songwriters.

You might also want to check out Broken Social Scene, as well as two bands by BSS alumni, Feist (Leslie Feist) and Metric (Emily Haines).

I saw that same show a while back and was really impressed! Now I catch them once in a while on XM and I agree totally... very great and different band.
