There is a question to be asked and which the answering requires the capability to detect certain classes of materials in tobacco samples. The answer may have fairly significant implications for contemporary NC cigars as well as Cuban cigars of a particular recent era.

Please PM if you have access to LC, HPLC, GC, GC/MS, or ICP capability, won't get fired if you get caught doing something a bit unusual, and would like to learn more about the project.

Wonder of wonders, I'm actually married to one. Her primary area of research is ion mobility, but her PhD was fundamentals work in ICP-MS. However, she's primarily an inorganic analytical chemist. What are you thinking of, Wilkey?

Alrighty, gentlemen. I will respond to all your inquiries this evening when I get home. I'll describe the project and tell you what I know and then you can let me know if you're able to help out.

Thank you for responding!

Wilkey
