To reply to this old ass post or not to reply? That is the question.
Ahh heck, why not! ACID cigars is what got me started again. I was speaking with my cousin (stationed in Iraq at the moment) about what cigars to try for a new smoker. He mentioned ACID's, so I bought the sampler pack.
My first one I tried was tasty (for me, being a non-smoker). I was so excited I began to scour the internet for others who tried these, confident that they would be as excited as I was.
Needless to say, everyone who even mentioned an ACID cigar was either bashing them, or bashing those who didn't bash them! I was confused as to why the strong dislike for these. It wasn't until doing a lot of research that I began to see how extremely different these are from the other top rated cigars on the market. This also opened my eyes (and my wallet) to a bunch of other brands I never thought of trying before. Now my humidor is filled with mostly non-flavored cigars (Onyx Reserve, Monte #3, AF Chateau, etc) with only a few of the sampler ACID's left. I'm actually trying to smoke all those first so that they don't spend much time in the same humidor as my other goodies.
But anyway, I digress. IMO, ACID's are great for newbie smokers or as an occasional change-up to the palette. Other than that, you may just get your ass laughed at if you bust one out with all the other BOTL's!
