I run a CADD Dept. All Electro-Mechanical /Aerospace.
I have actually designed numerous Circuit Card Assemblies / PWBs, as well as enclosures and racks. We are sort of kindred spirits.
There was a Huge run up, and then a little bit of a lull in the Defense Contracts arena, due to the war. Things seem to be picking up with funding becoming available (contract awards). I know I've been a little swamped. This means that contractors will start looking to fill voids left from the slow period. You might look at some of the defense related companies such as Titan, Boeing, Grumman, Lockheed Martin, L3's many segments, etc.
Hoping you navigate through this well, and that you find something fulfilling. :thumbs:

Sorry to hear about the WFR. It happened to me in 2001 after ten years of service to the company. Didn't know it at the time, but it was one of the better things that have happened to me. Found a better company, better location, more flexibility. It was a good move.
I wish you luck with the job hunt and hope things work out for you as well as they have for me.
