Anybody have any good home remedies for a cold/flu? With my nose all stuffed up like this, I'm not going to be enjoying anything, much less a cigar.
 
lots and lots of whiskey, honey and lemon... or just whiskey.

It won't make you better, but you will no longer give a shit that your sick...

My dad always drank lots of whiskey when my mom and I were sick, he never got sick. Thats what I do. Or you can try the airborne tablets...and take lots of zinc.

I feel for you Merlin. I'm just getting over a mild flu or cold. sucks. Longest period of time I haven't smoke a stick. You can try a crap load of hot/spicy foods (at least that's what my old boss did). Hopefully that will make you sweat it out. Plus some decaf green tea with honey and don't forget those vitamins with some food. ;) Hope you feel better

I like the sounds of that remedy! It almost is enough for me to hope that I get sick soon! :laugh:

Besides whiskey, a lot of people sware by zinc. However, I've been told that for it to be of much help, it needs to be taken at the onset of a cold or flu (as mentioned above with Zicam).
 
So this post was started Nov. 3rd of last year. I am JUST NOW feeling like my head is clear enough to enjoy cigars again. My cold/flu stayed for a while and then allergy season showed up. I'm still stuffed up every once in a while now, so it's to the point where I'm thinking about seeing some sort of specialist about it, but we'll see how things go.
 
Hope you feel better. There are a lot of home remedies out there. The best one I heard is to suck in lots of water. :thumbs:
 
Not sure if this helps, but the older i got the more allergies i developed, go see a specialist. I take a lot of pills but i don't come down with colds or the flu as much as before. YMMV! :cool:
