Howdy all, been enjoying this site for quite some time now and have decided I want to delve deeper into this wonderful hobby/lifestyle. I have been smoking for a few years now and have enjoyed a wide spectrum of cigars.

I recently received a few of these sticks from a friend. The bands simply read "Arturo Fuente Special Selection". Now, don't get me wrong, I love me some Arturo Fuente, but there was certainly nothing "special" or "select" about these sticks. I'm sorry if anyone here enjoys these, but they were simply god awful in my opinion. My friend had no idea where he got them or the story behind them, and I myself have yet to yield any info on them. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them. They didn't taste that bad to be honest, but the draw and burn just wasn't the same as the other Fuentes I have smoked.

No wonder my friend seemed so eager to give them away.... ???

I think you are talking about the curly head. The reason for the burn and draw issuse is they are made by apprentice rollers. Although usually a good smoke for the price.

I could be wrong but I think this is a short filler, low end, smoke so I wouldn't expect a great draw or burn.

Awesome info guys. I looked up that curley head and it is exactly what I am talking about. Did not realize how cheap they were. I smoked another one earlier and I still couldn't get into it; oh well.
