for brothers in the philly area, heres looking out to yous. i suppose techinically this should go in the hot deals section, but i figure more of you may read the lobby and trust me you dont want to miss out on this.

Holts (1522 Walnut Street) just got in a LARGE (as i was told) shipment from fuente. I would say every regular production opus and dc Maximus are in stock, limit 4 per person. Now the real gems, opus A's ($25) and BOXES of anejos for sale. I believe the A's are limit 4 per person and the anejos are limit 4 per single, 1 box per person. its pretty unreal, i've never seen them allow box purchases of anejos, but the girl at the counter said they got a load in. when i asked her how many boxes are left this was the exchange:

Clerk: of the 50's?
Me: No, total boxes?
Clerk: ummmm...
Me: Sooo, a lot?
Clerk: Uh, yeah.

The prices are the following for boxes of 25 count:

#49 - $218.75
#48 - $200.00
#50 - $181.75
#46 - $162.50

With a limit (which is pretty strict) I bet these will hang around for a bit, but I wouldnt hesitate.

Apologies to all, but im going out of town for the weekend and then on a client outside of the city, so my chances of getting back into the city during store hours are bleak. But if i can get in, i'll pick up what i can and share the bounty. I also highly doubt they'll do phone orders, worth a shot i suppose, so call your your third cousin who lives in the area to pick some up for you.

yeah, i always feel bad when i here of rediculous over pricing on opus, when Holts always has at least one size in stock at MSRP.

I just called. The very nice sales woman, Debbie, could not find the Anejos or the Opus Xs in the computer. Soooo, I'm going to Philly tomorrow and will try to make a stop at the store. Maybe if you call during regular hours they will sale over the phone?

I would love to have someone buy for me, but that person woudl have to return several times; once for himself, then return again for each member.

I guess it's possible that perhaps there's a guy out there who doesn't want to buy a whole box, but would be willing to pick one up for someone else.

I'd be happy to forward someone the money via PayPal, and let the buyer keep a stick for his trouble.

I'm sure others have tried, but I'll report that I called Holt's and asked if I could buy a box of Anejos over the phone. The answer was "No, you have to buy them in the store and we're closing for the day"

Finally made it into the city only to find them out of anejos.

The good news - still FULLY stocked on opus, opus A's, and Padron 40th anniversiries (nat and mad). ALSO, they have WOAM in stock with no restrictions. Picked up a box for $175 plus tax. Just ask the clerk, theyre very helpful there.

Please dont PM with requests, with my schedule its hard for me to make time to get downtown. but rest assured if i can i'll pick up an extra box and dish out some fivers.
