I realize this is in the wrong forum, but time is of the essence, and I was afraid it may not be seen in time to help me out.

I am making AVB's Egg Nog recipe for a Holiday Party we are hosting tomorrow night, Saturday, and was wondering if anyone has experience making it 24 hours ahead of time. Wasn't sure if the ingrediants would seperate or not as it chilled overnight.

If you have done this, shoot me a pm or reply here. Wife want to get as much done as possible tonight. I'm sure those of you married understand where I'm coming from.

Thanks for your help.

I've never made it more then 6 hours ahead of time and it did start to separate. I wouldn't make it tonight for a party tomorrow. YMMV

Hey all,

Just wanted to point out, if you haven't had the opportunity to try AVB's recipe for Egg Nog. You owe it to yourself to whip up a batch. I now wish I didn't have a holiday party last night. They loved the Nog, which means I have to make another batch for just me.

It was excellent. Thanks AVB.

Edit to ask: What is YMMV? I looked it up on the home page, and am unfamiliar with that one.

I'm thinking of making some during the holidays; about how much does one batch yield?

YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary. Meaning that you may have different results/experiences.

Not my recipe I just posted it for the benefit of the members here. It is George Washington's recipe taken straight from Mt. Vernon.
