For you coffee junkies, you got try out this machine Keurig B50

I tried it at a friend's house and it made the best home coffee I have tasted, other than the espresso from the Saeco SuperAutomatic machine. The k-cups are a bit pricey though.

Single Cup!? :0 What coffee junkie only drinks one cup? I use a Capresso MT 500 10 cup model. I fill it to 8 cups and polish off the whole jug every morning with a good cigar.

My Bank has one of these (bigger model) It does make a good cup of coffee, but like atuck said, it's only one at a time and you have to use thier coffee. The french press is still the ultimate way to brew coffee.

Gotta love french press. Although, more often than not, I grind my beans (mostly Illy or Lavazza, though sometimes Baby's from here in Miami Beach and Key West) myself and then use a good-old fashioned stainless steel stove-top espresso maker.

I need a French press. How big should I get....2 cups? Any brand preferences out there?

BTW, love the campfire coffee made with lake water in Canada after a nice morning fishing trip.

My french press is a Frieling 8 cup, stainless steel. But, Bodum makes some great ones, pretty inexpensively, typically glass. I don't know the various Bodum sizes, but I'd get at least a four cup.

Where can I get baby's coffee here on the Beach? I used to drink it when I was stationed in Key West. When I go back I usually pick up a pound of "Death by Coffee" or "Hair of the Dog"> I love their beans.

I have a great coffee maker. Cheekie is her name. She makes a perfect Con Leche each time. When I want something different, she'll grind just the right amount of beans to brew a 4 cup pot. Plus she looks a hell of a lot better than your coffe pot or french presses. LMAO ;)

If I recall, their place is somewhere on Alton Road. It's where they actually roast the beans. I ran into their rep at Williams and Sonoma once on Lincoln Rd., and had no idea about the SoBe place as I only knew them from Key West. But, you can call the South Beach place and order it at 305-572-1401. Since it's right in town, it's get to you right away.

Well I live on West at 10th, so |I guess I'll call and see if I can walk in. Seriously, that is some great coffee!

Yeah, I absolutely love it.
FYI, the Compass Market also used to sell Baby's by the pound. Don't know if it still does.

MiamiCubano,

Your right, it's hard to beat espresso made with freshly ground beans.

No glass for me. I'm a klutz.

I roast my own beans. Grind them fresh every morning.

Coffee and a cigar is Breakfast! :)

I bought the Bodum from Starbucks for $25. Glass, but I already cracked one with a metal spoon (stirring). Use a plastic spoon or get the stainless steel press. I think I'll get a stainless now.

IMHO, not only does the Frieling stainless look better, but it has an insulation factor that is far superior to the glass. Keeps the good stuff warmer for far longer. And, of course, no worries about breaking it. Lol.
