Well it's official, I'm a first time father! My daughter Michaela Theresa was born on Wednesday evening at 6:18 pm. Michaela was 8lbs 1oz. Mother and daughter are doing well but mother and father are pretty exhausted right now. A long 15 hours of labour, with a bit of a scare when my wife was rushed into the OR and it was close to being an emergency c-section. Luckily we didn't need the c-section, and the baby was born happy and healthy. She's sleeping in her grandma's arms as I write these words.

Just wanted to post the good news on the board. I'll be updating the blog site with stories and photos.

Congrats! I became a first-time dad myself six weeks ago! Coincidentally, your sig pic is the cigar I smoked to celebrate the occasion :thumbs:
 
Good for you, and glad everything worked out and she didn't go to section. The recovery is much longer, during a time where all you really want to be thinking about is your time with the new little one!
