I need to improve the seal on my humi. I've got a regular, inexpensive desktop model that a lot of people probably start out with. The humidity is fine in the spring and summer but doesn't hold up well in the Fall and Winter.

Is there a preferred way to do this? I was going to tape or glue some thin foam or elastic material around the edges of the base where the lid meets it.

I'm a little paranoid because I don't want to do something that will mess up my smokes, though!

i would probably stay away from gluing anything. why not go to homedepot and get the stick on foam weatherstrip? depending on how big the gap is, you can always trim the foam down but i think the thinnest is like 3/16". i think the glue would effect the cigars if the smell got in.
