As I mentioned in another thread, Phil LaBondano, the owner of Perseo Cigars and Roxor, opened a B&M near me and this is a blatant plug for Roxor cigars. There are three wrappers and four sizes, the Connecticut wrapper is the most complex natural I have ever smoked and all three are very good and sell for $5-$6.

The below article from Cigarcyclopedia is worth reading.
Illusione & Roxor

Phil told me he would except any calls from anyone here who wants to order directly from him here at Medina Cigar at 330-722-1010 and welcomes the opportunity.

Give em a try and tell Phil I sent ya

Why don't you tell us a little about the cigar(s)
I'm willing to try anything, as long as they don't claim to be the best cigar in the world.

I changed the link because I had the wrong page, I think the article will tell you most of what you need. They are $5-$6 and come in Robusto, Toro, Churchill, and Torpedo.

Now that I have had the chance to smoke several of each of the vitolas I felt a detailed blatant plug was in order.

The Natural.........I know most of us here lean toward heavier and more full bodied cigars and I am rapidly leaning that way myself (thanks to my friends pushing me to the dark side ;) ) but...........this natural is very complex and has a several discernible flavors which is unusual for a natural. Even if you smoke mainly maduros and heavy/strong cigars this is one I think you will occasionally enjoy.

The Cameroon..........You all know I am a Fuente whore and I could live with smoking nothing but Fuente products for the rest of my life, the good thing is.....I don't have to. The African cameroon is medium bodied and has a rich depth which I get from the Fuente Hemingway line. This cigar is rapidly becoming a go-to for me.

The Maduro..........The maduro is another great cigar which struggles to reach the "full bodied" description but has very good flavor depth and complexity. If you expect a Padron or Fuente level of maduro sweetness and body you will be disappointed, if you simply light it up and smoke it you will be pleased. This cigar strikes me as a cameroon with an extra kick.

The Good........Construction and burn has been impeccable on every one I've smoked; very solid and filled with lots of tobacco. The tobacco tastes aged, right out of the box......never harsh or nasty.

The Bad..........I like a smaller ring gauge (46-48) and you need good lighting to tell the difference between the cameroon and the maduro.

The Ugly........The logo.........but it grows on you.

He sent me one of each of the above cigars, and I am not even more anxious to try them...

Where are the wrappers from on the Natural and the Maduro?

The Natural is a Conneticut wrapper grown in Equador with blends from Esteli, Jalapa and Condega Nicaragua.

The Cameroon and maduro are the same blends as the natural but the the wrapper on the Cameroon is a true African wrapper (not indo) and the maduro is a broadleaf puros.

Thanks,

Phil

Phil also is sending me one of each wrapper and I'm looking forward to trying them and giving my honest opinion
