I recently purchased the re-designed Blazer Lighter with the funky new outer casing, flip top and butane reservoir window. The internal workings are the same as the old-style torch and it functions impeccably, but does not have the flame lock of the older model. The flip top is much more user-friendly than the old-style cap, as is the fuel reservoir window. This model, however, has two significant failings. First, the new outer casing makes the unit bulky, even though it is light in weight. Second, the exterior, painted finish is not warranted - and for good reason. When I removed the warning label, it also removed all of the painted finish underneath the warning label. The painted finish does not appear to be bonded to the plastic casing, at all, and other chips in the finish have begun to appear in the few weeks that I have used it. If you buy one of these, I would go with one of the see-through models with an un-painted casing.

Hope this helps.

Take care, Bacchus

I have the see thru Blue and love it! It's my "everyday" lighter and it always works and is very dependable. A shot of compressed air every other week and using nothing but Lava Fuel keep it working like a champ!

Aloha,

Wade
