Gotta admit, one of my favorite drinks with a cigar is a fine bluberry ale. You can get them from SLO Brew in San Luis Obispo, California (though they don't bottle it). You can get it from Moab Brewery out of Utah. And of course a brewery from Maine makes a bluberry ale, I think it's Sea Dog or something brewery.

The bluberry ale is not what you'd expect from a 'fruit' beer, it is not like a lambic from Belgium. The bluberry is only really detected in the aroma of the beer, it smells like fresh baked bluberry muffins. The taste though is a quality ale, just a little bit sweetened, similar to a honey blonde.

Bag it, tag it, take it home for a smoke.

When I was in Connecticut a few years back this place in New London, I believe, brewed some blue berry ale. It was great! They even dropped a few blue berries in the brew when you ordered. If only I can get back to the east coast to have some more.

My local cigar haunt is carrying the Sea Dog blueberry and raspberry ales. I tried the bluebarry and really like it, especially for a hot day. The aroma hits you as soon as you open the bottle.

I haven't tried the raspberry, but plan to soon.

I would like to try a Blueberry Ale -- does any one know where I could find one in the KC area?

I've been a fan of blueberry ale for around 15 years now.First and best placeI have had it is Boston Beer Works(near Fenway Park)My buddies give me alot of shit when I order one but is a great ale and like BIG MAC FU said it is not fruity tasting.Good stuff

Trader Joe's carries Sea Dog Blue Paw. Check the ones in Missouri to see if it is available near you.
