I got this cigar from quito60 as a lottery win. It had a age to it so I decided to smoke it as my first ISOM.

origin: CUBA, what else is there to know !!!!
wrapper was flawless, very small veins, smooth and sleek, no bumps
burn was pefrect, couldn't have drawn a more perfect line around it, very slow and stable
INTENSE tobacco flavor, sooo rich, sooo smooth to hold, no spice that would make you want to release the smoke, could hold that flavor in mouth forever
ash was dark at the foot but light gray as it burned, each time ash fell off it "poofed" to a lump of powder in the ashtray
draw was easy as I left a little of the pointed tip on it
smoke was a fine mist, no thick wavy stuff that drifted up, the mist lingered as if it was a fine fog that just expanded and disappeared

This cigar lasted 90 minutes. It burnt so slow, after each draw the "red-hot" was invisible inside the ash. Full rich flavor from start to finish. Very easy to hold, no burn in the nose. Smooth , mellow flavor on tongue and roof of mouth.

Official rating must be above 90. Got a true 100 from me.

Excellent cigar. THANKS TO quito60

ps. got another in the humi from sir-smokes, gonna give it a lil time to age

Just got some of the '02's cabinet selection. Already have had 2. Wonderful cigars. I had been looking forward to this for some years since the last time I bought some they didn't make it through the border.

Absolutely LOVE this guy. I think I might be in the minority that thinks the Royal Coronation is even better though.

I don't really care for them. I have a few that I could bomb with...who wants one?

If anyone has too many of these send one my way. You won't be sorry! :D

Any Havana is a good Havana as far as I'm concerned but I tend to like them a little stronger. Bolivars aren't in my top five.

My favorites are:

Saint Luis Rey
Vegas Robaina
Ramon Allones
San Cristobal
H. Upmann

just about in that order too!

Quai d' Orsays are nive MILD Havanas, great for in the morning and Juan Lopez and Sancho Panzas are pretty good too

I'm going to send you a Havana that will make you pine for a Swisher Sweet :) muhahahah...

I blazed through one of these today. I grabbed it out of a pass just the other day, and I couldn't wait to give it a go after reading MRN's description.
I don't know if I tasted "subtle 'tangy' fruity flavors" necessarily, but it was definitely a very enjoyable smoke. Fairly mild, but not too much so, and plenty smooth.
I had to laugh because it looked like a negative of what I'm used to smoking. With cigars such as Padron maduros, I'm used to a really dark wrapper with a white ash. This one had a really light wrapper with a charcoal-gray ash.
Yummy stuff.
